Compelling evidence shows that noise induced hearing loss is one of the most common occupational health disorders. This is an area where the HSE is very keen to improve the occupational health and safety standards. The health and safety regulations require the employer to implement specific measures when an employee is unlikely to be exposed to certain levels of noise in the workplace. These may include:

Noise reduction

Provision of hearing protection

Health surveillance

Periodic hearing tests

Employees education

The hearing test will determine whether a worker needs to be assessed by an occupational health physician. If you wish to talk about our health surveillance services, please do contact us.
